Kearsarge Athol (Athol, MA)

Kearsarge developed, financed and constructed this 650 kW DC ground mount solar array located at a former gravel pit in Athol, MA. Collaborating with a private landowner, Kearsarge was able to turn an otherwise underutilized, former industrial site into a clean energy asset, producing tax revenues for Athol while also supporting the ongoing commercial operations of the current property owner. Kearsarge worked closely with the Town and MA Division of Fisheries & Wildlife to properly design and site the project. All energy generated from the project is being purchased by local municipalities. The project was completed in December, 2016.
