Kearsarge Gill

Kearsarge Gill (Gill, MA)

Kearsarge developed, financed and constructed this 2.7 MW DC ground mount array, adjacent to the Northfield Mount Herman School. HAP, the regional housing partnership for Hampden and Hampshire counties, and the leading non-profit developer of affordable housing in Western Massachusetts will receive a portion of the net metering credits from the project, reducing their electricity cost over the next 20 years.  HAP plays a central role in coordinating homelessness prevention efforts in the area.

The previously underutilized land now generates more than 3,400,000 clean kWh’s per year without noise, emissions, or dangerous runoff. The land will be returned to its previous state at the end of the project’s useful life.
